En El Legado - un detallado sistema de supervivencia, tu personaje necesitará comida, agua, el frío clima de los Cárpatos otoñales - te obligará a encender un fuego para mantenerte caliente, moverte más o encontrar refugio en la fría noche. Además, tu resistencia depende del personaje que hayas elegido y de lo llena que esté tu mochila. Tendrás la oportunidad de aprender la mitología local y luchar contra el mal con armas y balas, o con rituales y pociones.

El juego cuenta con un gran mundo abierto, donde se pueden explorar diferentes lugares, mientras que completar tareas y sobrevivir. Mientras exploras el mundo del juego, encontrarás notas de los residentes locales, que te contarán varias historias místicas sobre Svetlograd y sus alrededores.
